As announced at the end of 2007, one of Nuova Fima’s aims for the next three year period is to focus its efforts on developing more innovative products and providing a more efficient service to its customers, with particular emphasis on after sales service.

In January of this year Nuova Fima signed a distribution contract with Melco Srl, a well-known Italian company specializing in plant distribution, installation and assistance for the ceramic industry.  Melco has a strong presence in the territories of the Russian Confederation.  Nuova Fima has directly operated in these territories for more than 15 years also creating a solid presence and winning the confidence of customers such as Welor, OKZ of the Marazzi group, Estima, Samara Strojfarfor, Lira Ceramica and Zao Kirovsky. >With its widespread presence and head offices in the four main Russian ceramic producing areas, Melco will install Nuova Fima plants for the territory and provide customer support and spare parts.

Stefano Mele, Nuova Fima's CEO, believes this agreement will increase opportunities: “Offering our customers a local partner that speaks and operates in their language can only further strengthen our existing strong presence in the market."
