Following a consolidated tradition Nuova Fima was, earlier this month, one of the exhibitors at Mosbuild, the largest international exhibition in Russia and CIS that recorded more than 120,000 visitors in 2007. This year’s edition featured the latest technologies and projects, products and services of leading international operators such as producers and suppliers of automation technology, ceramic tiles, tools and instrumentation, landscape development materials, sanitary ware, construction materials for interior and exterior finishing, decorations, lighting equipment and furniture.

Davide Gattamelati, area manager for the territory, reported very good results: “this year MOSBUILD had the largest number of visitors we have ever seen: the contracts we closed at the show demonstrate our repeated success in the Russian Federation where we have been operating for over 15 years”.

The Russian Federation has recently improved its international ranking in the ceramic tiles manufacturing sector. Thanks to a combination of internal growth, investments from Western ceramic tile manufacturers (many Italian companies have joint ventures with local manufacturers or have invested in existing companies in the territory) and the advantage of low cost and good quality raw material readily available in the country.

Sandro Zini Director of Sales of Nuova Fima group, has added: “We see the Russian Federation is one of the markets to count on for the three year period 2008-2010; in addition to the traditional sorting and pallettization systems of which we have a long and consolidated experience on the territory, we see important outlets also for more advanced technologies such as vision systems for which we are consolidating the first sales. We also expect that our recent agreement with Melco will offer better service to local manufacturers improving even further our position in the area”.
