In accordance with the good results for the group announced at the end of last year, 2008 is proving to be very successful for Nuova Fima and Surface Inspection. In addition to a large number of contracts with renowned companies in Europe, USA and Asia, the Spezzano based company continues to work with top Italian tile manufacturers. First quarter results for the Italian market are in excess to the aggressive budget outlined at the beginning of the year. Important brands such as Antica Ceramica di Rubiera, Caesar, Cedir, Iris, Leonardo 1502, and Serra are just some that have invested in Nuova Fima and Surface Inspection’s revolutionary technology this year, buying both complete lines and extensions for existing ones. Surface Inspection’s automatic tile inspection systems for quality control continue their steady conquer of the Italian market, installing Flawmaster systems in various factories of Florim group, Del Conca, Pastorelli and Mediterranea.
Luigi Montermini, Area Manager for Italy, announced the results and stated: “When customers want top quality and reliability they know that our technology is the best answer. The Flawmaster inspection system is sold integrated in the majority of our lines, helping customers to fully automate their sorting operations”. Sandro Zini, director of sales for the group, added: “The Italian market keeps being our reference market for strategic investments in product quality, engineering and innovation. We are therefore glad to acknowledge that our technology is more and more often the answer for those manufacturers trying to improve their value added”.
